Thanksgiving and more

I have so much to be thankful for this year. What an incredible year it has been. I was certianly blessed this year. I was given a healthy, happy and beautiful little boy, I've reconciled with my biological father, my family has stayed healthy, I've stayed healthy and we've all kept our jobs.

My son has grown so much in the past 5 months. He is 17 pounds of all boy. I just have to look at him lovingly and he smiles at me - which is so freaking awesome. He doesn't giggle for me, but he does giggle for Chris. He apparently loves Chris' facial hair and he thinks it's pretty funny when Chris rubs his facial hair on his neck. Chris gets almost a belly laugh out of him.

He is eating his rice cereal like a champ and we have tried a variety of veggies and fruits. He seems to like everything but squash. We will try the squash again later, he didn't spit it out at me, he just gave me a very strange look and then didn't open his mouth.

We are still working on rolling over. He is just about ready to roll from back to belly, but he nowhere near ready to roll from belly to back. He is doing much better at tummy time, but he still fights it a bit. I wish that we could get him to stay on his belly more. I'm hoping the older that he gets the more he will realize that he needs to be on his belly in order to go places!

4 months old, a little late.

Sorry! I'm a little late on this post. I've been so busy with work and family that I just haven't had time to make this update! AJ turned 4 months old on 11/6 and we went to the doctor on the 9th for his check up and his vaccinations. His stats from his appt. are: weight - 16 pounds, 75%, height - 25 1/2 inches, 75%, head - 16 inches, 75%. He received 3 shots and drank a yummy drink - he screamed, I cried and Chris turned away. This time when we got home he was fine for a while, but he spiked a fever later in the evening and it carried through out most of the next day. Ugh.

He started cereal. If anything, it's helped with the sleeping situation - his belly is full and he can sleep when his belly is full! For the last few nights he is sleeping all the way through. The funny this is - I'm not yet :) I'm so use to getting up with him at his regular "times" that I actually wake up at those times still. I'm sure that I will start sleeping through those times evetually....

So, the little dude is growing, eating and just hanging out. Oh and I'm sure he's heading for rolling over next.
