As I mentioned in my last post, we were finding it harder and harder to keep my pregnancy a secret - that being said, we decided to tell a few more people - although we haven't told everyone yet, most of Chris' close family and my family know, with a few friends mixed in for good measure. Everyone is thrilled so far and the first question is are we going to find out the sex of the baby. Honestly, I'm just not sure I want to know - other than the fact I would like to paint the room a coordinating color.
I really like the element of surprise and Chris does as well. The baby's room will need to be repainted if it's a girl and it can stay the color it is if it's a boy.... so I guess when the time comes to find out what it is we will make a decision then.
In other news, I go back to the doctor on 1/5... I'm so excited about this appointment because we should be able to hear a heartbeat and finally have an ultra sound and get our first snap shot of our baby.
I'm beginning to look at baby stuff online - I haven't bought anything mostly because I'm still waiting for the magical first trimester to be over.

First Appointment
This past week Chris and I went to visit the OBGYN doctor. It was quite eventful as the physicians assistant confirmed that we are actually expecting and she went over a TON of information - basically giving me a long list of what I can't do for the next 9 months.
They drew a bunch of blood and ran some other tests and everything came back perfect - so that was music to both our ears.
I'm finding it harder and harder to not tell people at work that I'm expecting. I'm only 6 weeks and 1 day as of today, so we just aren't comfortable letting people know yet. We did however tell Chris' parents this week - they were thrilled.
Well, I'm off to eat something... it seems that's all I'm doing lately, is eating.

Baby On the Way
Chris and I are expecting our first child. We are both a little scared - but extremely excited. It seems like the last few months have been moving at full force, so really why stop now?
A few days ago I thought to myself - I kinda feel a bit funny. I didn't say anything to Chris... but I went to the store and bought 2 pregnancy tests. That evening I took the test and the first test came back some-what positive... I say some-what because the second line wasn't clear. So, I waited until the next morning and took a second test - negative. I really did think I was pregnant though.... So back to the store I went.
That afternoon I took another test .... and sure enough it came back positive. I ended up taking 3 more test and all positive. That evening I presented Chris with the "sticks" and he got very emotionally happy.... we both decided to keep it a secret until we speak with the doctor and until we are a bit further along. My first doctors appointment is Dec. 8th at 9:15.
So, we are well on our way to having a Lil' Revo and this will be the blog about that adventure!
So far the only symptoms I'm having - going to the bathroom like crazy and my appetite has sure gone up!
